HGTV - Bank for your buck

Home & Garden Television’s (HGTV) BANG FOR YOUR BUCK is gearing up for its first season, and is looking for great examples of “fun and enthusiastic homeowners” who would like to showcase their finished basements in the greater DC area on TV. The remodels must have taken place within the last 3 years, and cost between $30,000 and $100,000. Each episode will compare three similar remodels at similar price points, emphasizing how their changes will increase equity to their home. The show will feature the homeowners, not the remodeling firms, but the firms will be mentioned on the website (which is where homeowners will go to get more info). And, obviously, if the show educates and encourages homeowners to invest in their homes, it is good for our membership and the industry! If you’re interested, please e-mail before and after photos of the space, along with its cost, to: WYGMindy@gmail.com Or call Mindy Christiansen at (303) 712-3248

Remodeling Online Seeks Photogenic Remodelers

Remodeling Online (www.remodelingmag.com), the online component of Remodeling magazine, plans to launch a regular slideshow series. In each edition, one remodeling company will showcase a few of its best "people practices" -- or simply its great staff at work -- via photos and captions. If interested in being considered for this unusual publicity opportunity, please email several high-quality digital images of your people at work, along with a brief description of your company and a link to your website, to Leah Thayer at lthayer@hanleywood.com. I'll review and be in touch.
